Bring the whole family for an afternoon of FREE fun, including arts and crafts, family games, face painting, food, a community resource fair, and tours of BHcare. Whether you’re looking to learn more about local services, meet community partners, or simply spend a fun afternoon with family and friends, there’s something for everyone.

Sound of Hope: Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Join BHcare, The Umbrella Center for Domestic Violence Services, the Hope Family Justice Center, and the City of New Haven for Sound of Hope, a community observance recognizing Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Sound of Hope brings the community together to honor survivors, remember lives lost, and raise awareness about domestic violence.

Event Highlights:
- Remarks from elected officials, community leaders, and survivor advocates
- Recognition of local law enforcement partners for their dedication to supporting survivors
- A remembrance ceremony honoring those whose lives have been lost to domestic violence
- A ceremonial flower toss into New Haven Harbor symbolizing hope, healing, resilience, and remembrance
- An opportunity for the community to stand together in support of survivors and raise awareness about domestic violence
