    Branford Counseling Center (“BCC”) is a municipally-funded behavioral health and social services agency, providing services to Branford residents, both adults and children. BCC is the Youth Services Bureau and Social Services Department for the Town of Branford. Licensed by the Connecticut Department of Public Health, clinical services are provided by licensed professionals.

    BCC is a Medicare and Medicaid provider and most commercial health plans are accepted. The exceptional staff of qualified personnel will help all clients and no resident will ever be refused treatment because of an inability to pay.

    It is the mission of BCC to maximize treatment through collaboration with other local agencies, schools, hospitals, private practitioners, and various town departments.

    The Mission of East Haven Counseling and Community Services is to improve the quality of life of the people of the Town of East Haven by providing a network of comprehensive, effective and efficient mental health services that foster self-sufficiency, dignity and respect so as to empower individuals to live up to their ultimate potential.


    • Providing outpatient mental health services & prevention programs.
    • The Agency is licensed by the State of Connecticut as an adult outpatient psychiatric clinic.
    • Licensed Clinical Social Workers and Masters level clinicians are trained to provide assessments, crisis intervention, and on-going counseling using individual, couple, family and group therapies.
    • Board certified Psychiatrists provide diagnostic evaluations, and prescribe psychotropic medications when deemed appropriate.
    • Twenty-four hour emergency backup services available.

    The Town of North Haven offers a range of outpatient mental health, substance abuse and outreach services to town residents. These services include:

    • Individual therapy for seniors, adults and adolescents.
    • Psychiatric evaluation and medication.
    • Couples therapy.
    • Family therapy.
    • Group therapy for adolescent issues, anxiety management, spirituality and recovery, substance abuse relapse prevention.
    • Men’s and women’s mental health support groups.
    • Managing difficult emotions support group.
    • Parents of adolescents support group.
