Outpatient Clinical Services
If you are struggling with substance use or mental health issues, we are here to help. BHcare employs caring and experienced professionals who will work with you to develop a plan for recovery.
Our clinicians use a person-centered approach and together you will develop a treatment plan that meets your individual needs and helps you achieve your goals. Throughout treatment, you will be encouraged to express your needs, desired outcomes, and expectations of the services delivered.
Treatment is designed to:
- Explore symptoms, stressors, and strengths
- Develop new coping skills
- Improve emotional, behavioral, and social outlook
Services provided include:
- Individual and Group Therapy: Allow clients to increase their strengths, self-esteem and interpersonal relationships at a pace that is comfortable for each client.
- Substance Use Treatment: Provides support and education around issues related to recovery from alcohol and non-prescribed substances addiction. Medication assisted treatment for opioid addiction also available.
- Dual Diagnosis Treatment: Therapy, medication and supportive services for clients who are struggling with both a psychiatric illness and alcohol and non-prescribed substances addiction.
- Intensive Outpatient Program: Specialized treatment to individuals whose needs cannot be met through weekly group or individual treatment alone. Clients attend three to five days a week and participate in three hours of specialized and focused group activities daily. Four tracks are available to meet the needs of these individuals:
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy-DBT Skills Training (Shoreline and Valley) Our DBT IOP utilizes the evidenced-based practice of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to provide treatment to clients struggling with emotion regulation, distress tolerance
and interpersonal issues. The group primarily serves those with a Borderline Personality Diagnosis but is open to other clients as well who may be appropriate. - Dual Diagnosis (Shoreline & Valley) Our Dual Diagnosis IOP is for clients diagnosed with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. The program utilizes a harm reduction approach and includes evidence-based practices including CBT, DBT and seeking safety.
- Symptom Management (Shoreline & Valley) Our Symptom Management IOP program provides treatment to clients living with diagnoses such as Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Schizoaffective Disorder, and Schizophrenia. The program utilizes a strengths-based model and IOP clinicians use a variety of evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, and psychoeducation.
- Work-Life Balance offered at Shoreline location only. This is an evening program (4:30 pm to 7:30 pm Tuesday through Thursday) to help working professionals meet their behavioral health goals. The program offers short-term support for working professionals, to help you navigate life’s stressors, work challenges, and relationship concerns with care and understanding. We specialize in treating trauma, vicarious trauma experienced by first responders, anxiety, depression, stress, and helping you find a healthy work-life balance.

- Specialized Trauma Treatment: Some trauma survivors experience reactions or symptoms that impact their day to day lives such as flashbacks, nightmares, avoidant behavior, anxiety, hypervigilance and emotional numbing. We offer evidenced-based treatment in both individual and group formats to help decrease or eliminate these trauma reactions and symptoms.
- Medication Management: Clients who request a medication evaluation are seen by a psychiatrist who reviews (with the client) the risks, benefits and alternatives of taking medication.
