Under the Tree Project 2024 

Last holiday season, we were able to fulfill nearly 600 wishes for BHcare clients for our annual Under the Tree Project!  

Clients like Frank, Megan, and Destiny experienced the generosity of the more than 120 donors along with the true spirit of the season.  

“Thank you for the hand truck! It is so helpful in getting my groceries to my apartment on the 3rd floor.” – Frank.  

“Thank you for everything you have done for me and my daughter. We absolutely love our presents! I can’t thank you enough for the extra stuff too! Destiny loved her dress-up dresses.” – Megan. 

This year, our goal is to surpass that number, and with your support, we’ll make more clients’ wishes come true. 

Your participation in our Under the Tree Project will brighten the holiday season and create lasting memories for individuals and families struggling with domestic violence, mental health, and substance use. Your kind gesture will make a difference in the life of another, which could be the change they need to help them heal. 

You can help in the following ways:   

• Adopt a client or family: To adopt a client or family, complete our online form https://bit.ly/BHcareAdopt24. You can also email development@bhcare.org with the number of individuals you would like to support and which location you plan to drop off your gifts. By Wednesday, November 20, you will receive information on your adopted individuals along with two wishes per person, we ask that you please fulfill one wish, unless you choose to fulfill both. Each wish should cost no more than $50. 

• Make a Donation: You can give online or mail a check that will be used to cover the purchase of gifts, supplies, and food to meet the specific needs of clients during the holiday season. If we exceed our goal and all needs are met, any additional donations will be used to meet the needs of clients throughout the year.
